This page includes a farm sensory bin I prepared elaborately for my daughter.
This is a farm sensory play I prepared for my little child who likes to imitate animal voices. 😊
Sensory pools/boxes play a very important role in Montessori education philosophy. Sensory pools -or boxes- are the places in which the objects that appeal to as many senses as possible are put.
The main aim here is to appeal to the five senses which are sight, hearing, taste, touch and smell. These sensory pools provide our children to feel many senses and learn many notions as stimulating their senses. Besides sensitizing the senses it also contributes to developing of fine motor skills since it includes actions like transfer… etc.
Moreover, since the child observes the pool carefully, the pool develops his concentration and provides him to learn lots of notions while having fun. Since my daughter loves them, she learned many of the notions through the sensory pools and this activity was also useful about her language development since we spoke on it very much.
You can prepare sensory bins about the notions your child is curious about and in this way contribute his learning and having fun.

How to do it?
First of all place the yellow bulghur on the floor. Then as it is seen in the picture, put the figures as you like and create your own farm.
Make roads as using the rocks
Plant your dough carrots in your field of buckwheat and put some of them in the case of the tractor.
Put some feding stuff for the animals in toy blocks. 😊
The best part is making up stories about this farm and animating the stories. 😊
My daughter felt like she was in a farm and started to play games. She drove tractor, wandered around in the fields and lots of things… you should get started as soon as possible. Have fun!
